Redesigns
Redesigns of types

In the redesigns above, I explored different themes of contrast, type, and proximity. For the 3 types shown directly above, I played around with different styles of font and placement of letters. For the contrast redesign, I used different shapes (circles) and a bolded green to draw attention to the redesign.

One game that I find very visually appealing is Mario Kart. The different worlds make use of vibrant colors, and utilizes graphic design and sound features to create an overall impressive, immersive, and addicting game.

As shown from the picture above, Mario Kart makes uses of the very principles we practiced for this exercise: fonts are repeated (as shown by the lap and MPH signs), and very core elements(track layout, lap number, and player/ vehicle) are included in every single iteration of the game.

The designs are quite simple, but the distinct color schemes (here, it is mostly tied by blues/ greens to represent a snowy place) makes each world unique and fun to explore.
